Globes 2008 Top 100 Businesses: Israel Chemicals At Top

(IsraelNN.com) The Globes Top 100 business rankings have been tallied, with Israel Chemicals taking the number one spot in 2008.  Africa-Israel dropped from first place in 2007 to eighth in 2008, following the decision by owner Lev Leviev to leave Israel and take up residence in London.

Israel Corporation, Israel Chemicals's parent company, rose to second place from seventh.  Delek Automotive Systems rose from twenty-first place to third, and Teva Pharmaceuticals rose to seventh place, up from twentieth in 2007.

The "Globes" Top 100 ranked the companies that created the most value between January 2000 and March 2008, taking into account share liquidity, company size, professionalism of the management, and predictions on the company's future performance.

Posted: 02 Jun 2008 09:06 PM CDT

It looks as if Israel 21st Century has created a video highlighting some of Israel's top start ups emerging out of the country--with some of them having the potential to revolutionize our planet (at least within their respective fields).

Companies featured are:
  • Oramed (which could bring about oral insulin)
  • iMedix (a social network making it easier to find/share health information)
  • Millenium Solar (inexpensive efficient solar technology--enough said!)
  • Argo-Housing (which could help make houses greener)
  • Mobileye (using digital technology to improve road safety)
  • ICS Motors (fuel efficient greener motors--that may be cheaper than current models)
  • Nanomaterials (producing strong material at the molecular level)

Google Founder Visits Israel

Posted: 19 May 2008 02:00 PM CDT

Unless you are either from Israel or up-to-date in the world of "geek," you probably would have never realized that Sergey Brin, one of the founders of Google, visited the holy land recently as a delegate to Peres's Presidential Conference.

Upon arriving in Israel and glimpsing at some of its technology, the Google founder expressed nothing but praise for the Jewish state.

(Haaretz.com) Google co-founder Sergey Brin on Thursday lauded Israeli innovations in technology and environmental efforts, saying Israel "takes our climate challenges very seriously." [...]

He noted that Israel's leading efforts in the field of sustainable energy, saying: "Obviously in Israel they need to innovate with water and things like that. I was really intrigued to see drip irrigation. I just realized that came out of Israel."

Brin gave particular attention to Israel's work in environmentally friendly transportation.

Even though Brin is Jewish, he seems to realize what many government officials, business executives and "green geeks," have already discovered about Israel--that the Jewish state is serious when it comes to protecting its environment, without draining its economy.

Hopefully Israel will be able to export some of this technology overseas (such as hydrogen powered cars, fungus bio-fuel and eco-friendly houses), as it could do wonders in improving our planet.

In honor of Israel’s 60th birthday, CBS-TV in New York ran a special edition of its Eye on New York program focusing on Israel’s achievements. You can watch the full video–with appearances from Consul General Asaf Shariv and Ambassador Dan Gillerman on the CBS site.

I read Barry Chamish's latest newsletter, titled, "FROM YOM KIPUR 1973 TO PASSOVER 2008" late last night. It cost me a lot of sleep, especially when I linked it to a report earlier the evening about 6,000 Druze in the north of Israel demonstrating about their land being dispossessed for a gas pipeline. It reminded me of a conspiracy some years before to get Israel off the Golan so that an oil pipeline could be built over it from Iraq. Here is the info about that: Why The Golan Squeeze? By Barry Chamish

Below is the Chamish newsletter, that I 'm posting without editing because it highlights other behind the scenes dirt to sell out Israel and her land and globalist scheming.

FROM YOM KIPUR 1973 TO PASSOVER 2008
by Barry Chamish www.thebarrychamishwebsite.com

With nearly all lines to Israel were cut for five days due to the Sabbath followed by the Passover holiday, The only news received in America was that a Holocaust-surviving rabbi named Arthur Schneier, had invited a former Hitler Youth and Wermacht soldier now called Benedict XVI to address his synagogue:

Pope Benedict XVI made interfaith history yesterday by being the first pope to visit an American synagogue a 125-year-old New York landmark where congregants gave him a standing ovation and Jewish children sang a joyous greeting song.

Rabbi Arthur Schneier, the spiritual leader of Park East Synagogue on Manhattan's Upper East Side, appeared overwhelmed, calling the visit "a historic occasion that will be recorded in history forever."

I was blissfully ignorant of the background of this atrocity when I appeared on the Tamar Yonah radio show.

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/125840

Fortunately, a caller named Dan from Herzlia was far more attuned than I and added the ugly details. Rabbi Schneier sits on the Council On Foreign Relations' (CFR) Religion And Foreign Policy Committee with Madeleine Albright and double sits on the UN's Alliance Of Civilization Initiative founded by Edgar Bronfman of the CFR, whose children are reportedly Catholic.

The circle is now unbroken from Yom Kipur 1973 to Passover 2008.
Israelis still believe the war was a giant intelligence failure. Nonsense. The Mossad saw a million Egyptian soldiers and most of the Syrian army on its borders and they warned the government of an impending war. What it didn't know was that Defence Minister Moshe Dayan had cut a murderous deal with US Secretary Of State Henry Kissinger, of the highest executive branch of the CFR, not to mobilize the Israeli army. Worse, Dayan thinned troops on the Suez Canal to 600. Had there been a mere 6000 soldiers waiting, not an Egyptian would have crossed the canal and a million would have potentially been wiped out.
On the Golan, Dayan had a last minute change of heart and added 50 tanks. Israelis have been told that, under the brave leadership of Col. Kahalane, these fifty just barely saved the nation. More Nonsense. The Syrians swept to a bridge on the Jordan River within a day and stopped. They stopped because the deal was no Israeli callup for no capture of pre-67 land and the Syrians abided by the terms. Had they cheated, the road to Tiberius and the Galilee was all theirs, unimpeded. At best, Israel would have surrendered and traded the Galilee for the Golan.
I was motivated to properly interpret the Yom Kipur War for you by a recent History Channel program on the Bildebergers. Interviewed was a man with many Jewish problems, and I warned him they would get him in trouble, David Icke. He claimed that in May of 1973, the decision to raise the price of oil in quantum leaps was made at the annual Bildeberg meeting. The means chosen was the Yom Kippur War.
He was right about that but was not quoted how the Arabs played ball with the CFR. The US and Holland were embargoed by OPEC right after the war broke out. Then the days of cheap oil ended for good. From 30 cents a barrel, by the year's end the figure had almost reached two dollars. Soon, the largest ever West to East money transfer was under way and suddenly, the Arabs had trillions of dollars in their vaults. This cash was invested mostly in American banks with Chase Manhattan of the Rockefellers, founders of the CFR, getting a lion's share.
This permitted the banks to invest in any half-cocked scheme hatched by any dictator and soon most of South America and parts of Africa couldn't even repay the interest. Then whole nations, like Argentina and Mexico went belly up. They found themselves bankrupted by American financial institutions.
Back in Israel, times were getting tough too. JP Morgan was a founder of the CFR and his London branch affiliate, Morgan Grenfell, gave the Russians $3 billion to rearm Syria.

Prominent among the Round Table group is the London affiliate of the Morgan banking interests in New York, known as Morgan, Grenfell & Co. It was shortly after the Yom Kippur War that Morgan, Grenfell & Co. had arranged for a $3 billion financial transaction to resupply Syria and Egypt with armaments. Rabbi Marvin Antelman - To Eliminate The Opiate, Part II, pp 113

With Tupelovs landing in Damascus hourly, Syria had the arms to keep up the war until Israel ran out of equipment. On the eighth day of the war, that moment was close. There is an apocryphal story that has become myth in certain Christian circles. Unfortunately, it didn't happen the way they'd wish it did. True, Kissinger, the good Jew that he is, publicly stated that his goal was to give Israel a bloody nose, so it would be less stubborn in his negotiations. And also true, Nixon was up to his eyeballs in Watergate and Falkland War diversions. With the background right, the myth has Golda Meir phoning Tricky at 3 AM on the eighth day of war, telling him, "You, Mr. President, are the only man in the world who can save the Jews."
Nixon recalls his saintly mother telling him, "Someday son, you'll be the only man in the world who can save the Jews." And so he resupplied Israel.
The much uglier truth is that Kissinger got his Israeli bloody nose and added conditions to the resupply. The worst one that we KNOW of was a demand that once the war ends, Mrs. Meir would resign as prime minister and her successor would be Kissinger's puppy, Yitzhak Rabin. Rabin was the Ambassador to Washington, a post he resigned the year before, to campaign for Nixon. Just prior to the war, he wrote a highly influential article assuring his readers that the Arabs won't attack Israel for another generation.
Getting him to be Meir's successor was no easy task. Rabin had never been a politician, did not sit in the Knesset, and was probably about 90th in the Labor Party hierarchy. But Golda quickly made him Minister of Labor, Knesset seat or not, she resigned and Rabin was in the PM's office just as Kissinger began his shuttle diplomacy to separate Syrian and Israeli troops. He may have made a hundred trips between Damascus and Jerusalem before having his epiphany. The Syrians wanted the Golan and Rabin was in no position to offer it to them. Then again, thought Henry the K, Syria also wants Lebanon to create its dream of a newly rehatched Greater Syria. Well, we can hand it to them. All we need to do is blow up a Christian schoolbus in Beirut, kill 32 children and get a renewed civil war going. Then Syria could come in as "peacemakers."
Everyone was so delighted with the plan! Why, in a secret cable, even King Hussein of Jordan approved of it. (Israel Radio Bet, on one news bulletin in 1999). So the CIA blew up the kids in 1975, stirred up ethnic tension and the war was on. By 1976 the Syrian army entered to quell the bloodshed, Rabin announced phoney Lebanese 'red lines" and the troops were separated on the Golan.
The man who told me the story was ex-Science Minister Benny Begin. I visited him for over 90 minutes in the Knesset. He told this story and said he got it straight from Rabin. He added that Rabin was chuckling when he related how the Lebanese Civil War really got started and Begin asked him, "Why are you laughing? There were 300,000 dead in that war." Rabin smirked and assured him, "Don't worry. It was a great deal for us."
The next "peacemaker" to rise from the ashes of Yom Kippur was Ariel Sharon. Benny Begin told me, "You don't know who Sharon really is. Nobody does. He's a far leftist hiding in the Right. He destroyed by father and he'll destroy many other lives."
And it was Sharon's own spokesman, Raanan Gissen who gave me the first solid tip. In 1997, Sharon had been spotted at an Israeli economic fair entering a private room and I was told this by a delegate to the event. I called Gissen right after and will only give the relevant quote. I asked, "Why did Sharon have a private meeting with Kissinger?" He answered, "The Minister has met with Mr. Kissinger on every trip to the US since January, '74. Why?, I asked. "The Minister is good friends with Mr. Kissinger." Now, knowing Gissen's huge ego and the fact that he believed his spokesman's career would lead to Hollywood movies, I blurted, "What do you know about the Council On Foreign Relations?" A daring stroke but it got an odd answer. "The Minister has instructed me not to discuss that issue until he completes his memoirs." That, of course, will wait until he gets a new brain.
Over time, a broader story was poked out of a discussion here, a loose tongue there. Sharon was chosen by Kissinger because he was the hero of the Yom Kippur War and the only unsullied general other than the protected Rabin. Before the war he created a far left wing party called Shlomzion and invited other lefties like Amnon Lipkin-Shahak and Yossi Sarid to join him. Kissinger told him to take his party, join it with Menachem Begin's Herut and wreck the Right politically from within. Sharon created the Likud from his party, the Liberals and Herut. He would soon destroy Begin and bulldoze the Sinai city of Yamit.
Which brings us back to our first "peacemaker," Moshe Dayan. The man who told me what happened was Yossi Orr, a co-inventor of the Uzi and a political insider. It was 1979, Sadat had made his historic trip to Jerusalem, I suspect but cannot prove, with the approval of the big boys, and Begin was at Camp David with now-proven Jew hater, Jimmy Carter, and his CFR, Trilateral Commission gang of Mondale, Vance and Brzezinzki. What Begin didn't know was that Moshe Dayan, the unpopular, yes, traitorous Foreign Minister Carter had forced on him, was working with the CFR. Alongside him was Ezer Weizmann, outside the scope of this discussion. According to Orr, Begin gave up his lifetime ideology due to deep psychological brainwashing. His coffee was drugged and his aides backed Carter's on every point and issue. Begin collapsed mentally and gave up every inch of the Sinai.
In time, Rabin brought us the CFR's Oslo "Peace" and Sharon permanently destroyed Gaza as demanded by the State Department and its CFR Secretary. The Vatican joined the plot openly with Rabin's "peace" and in Passover 2008, sent their Nazi pope into a synagogue run by a CFR "rabbi" crook.
And the Jews applauded. And they will continue to applaud until the upcoming war, this time using the CFR's Condeleeza Rice to coerce and corrupt Israel's leadership into disaster. But worst of all, the Jews won't get who caused the Holocaust of Israel.

Just to conclude, the Women In Green just discovered that the Yesha Council is a tool of the government.

Once again, Moetzet Yesha becomes the implementation arm for the decrees by the destruction and expulsion government. And this is not all: if we thought that there was fatal cooperation between Moetzet Yesha and the government of destruction and ruin only at the time of the Gush Katif and northern Samaria expulsion, the reporter Hagai Huberman reveals to us in an interview to the Basheva newspaper, from April 3, 2008, on the occasion of the publication of his new book Knegged Kol ha-Sikuim (Against All Odds), that even at the end of the Oslo period there were close ties between Moetzet Yesha and the Oslo government. It transpires that the heads of Moetzet Yesha, who, while outwardly forcefully attacked the Oslo accords and even organized demonstrations against them, in private cooperated with the Rabin government, and even aided it in drawing up the withdrawal maps. If this had not been written by a reliable and senior journalist, we would refuse to believe this.

Syrian strongman Bashar Assad.

by Gil Ronen
 Syrian strongman Bashar Al Assad

(IsraelNN.com) Syria has raised the state of alert of its armed forces because it knows Hizbullah's revenge attack against Israel for the killing of Imad Mughniyeh is near, according to Israel's Channel 2 TV.

Soon after Mughniyeh's death, Israel warned Syria that it would hold it responsible for any revenge attack launched by Hizbullah for the killing of Mughniyeh, its operations officer.

Syria is due to release its official findings in the probe into Mughniyeh's death. He was killed in an explosion in Damascus in February.

The paper Al-Quds Al-Arabi, which is published in London, reported that since Mughniyeh's death, Syria has arrested dozens of suspects, including "Palestinians and senior Syrian army officers." Sources in Damascus told the paper that the investigation established that foreigners were behind the murder of Mughniyeh.

Syria has accused Israel of being behind the assassination.

'Assassination planned in Syria'
Meanwhile, former Syrian vice president Abdel Khalim Khaddam is accusing Syria of killing Muygh.

Interviewed by a Lebanese newspaper, Khaddam said that the head of Syrian intelligence was replaced because the investigation he conducted showed that those who planned the assassination came from within Syria.

Khaddam was forced into exile and took up residence in Europe after he criticized the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Hizbullah: Home Front drill 'aggressive'
Hizbullah's Deputy Director Sheikh Naeem Kassem said Sunday that the Israeli Home Front exercise is a preparation for war and part of "Israel's aggressive character."

Kassem said the exercise had three purposes: first, to boost the morale of the Israeli people, which has been low since the Second Lebanon War; second, to convince the Israelis that the army has overcome the failure and is ready and has drawn all the lessons from the war; and third, he explained, "it is part of the preparations for war, because Israel is always on a war footing."

The Al-Arabiyah television network reported Sunday that the Lebanese military ordered residents of southern villages to move away from the border with Israel. According to the report, the Lebanese Army set up dirt roadblocks and inspection towers along the border with Israel to prevent Lebanese civilians from getting too close to the fence.

Heightened alert
Tension between Israel and Syria has been high recently, and there were reports that Defense Minister Ehud Barak cancelled his planned visit to Germany this week because of it. Defense Ministry advisor Amos Gilad denied this report and said that the Defense Minister changed his schedule because of a heavy workload.

Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Dan Harel told reporters last week: "I see no reason at all for unusual tension in the North, and I do not think that any side is interested in a military confrontation."

However, he also made what reporters saw as a hinted threat at Syria, following reports that Syrian forces were on a heightened state of alert.

"Anyone who tries to strike Israel should keep in mind that Israel is the strongest country in the region and that its response will be hard and painful. We are always alert and ready," Harel warned.

Protest the Next War: By Moshe Feiglin

Shvat, 5768
Jan., '08

rocket launcherSince the meaningless Winograd Report ignored the main question -- why Israel went to war in Lebanon two summers ago -- it was a given that the Prime Minister would be able to hang on to his seat. That being the case, it is more important to plan for the next war instead of analyzing the past war.

Dr. Yair Weissman of the Bar Ilan University has published a simple analysis in which he reaches the conclusion that sooner or later, Israel will capture Gaza in order to remove it from the clutches of the Hamas and hand it over to the Fatah. This idea is so clear that nobody is shocked by it anymore. The Kassams will continue to explode and will become more and more sophisticated. They will have a longer range and slowly but surely, the residents of Ashkelon and eventually Beer Sheva and Ashdod will just have to get used to them. When the IDF will retaliate, even more Kassams will fall. When we cut their electricity they will pose for the international media with candles (in broad daylight) and then we will turn the electricity back on and once again the Kassams will start to fly. Eventually, Olmert will sense that his prime ministerial seat is becoming unsteady, and he will send the IDF into Gaza.

The only political strategy that exists today in Israel is based on Oslo consciousness. Nobody (except for this writer) will dare propose that Israel should encourage the Arabs of Gaza to complete the natural process of 'voluntary transfer' that they began last week as they marched into Egypt. Nobody will encourage them to leave and nobody will propose that we recapture Gaza with the intention of remaining there and building one hundred Gush Katifs. Olmert will conquer the moon before he will carry out the one action that is based on the justice of the Jewish cause while creating peace as a bonus. Those concepts simply do not exist in the current Israeli lexicon. The only concepts to be found there are Oslo concepts.

Eventually, Olmert will send the IDF into Gaza and one or two hundred Israeli soldiers will give their lives in order to capture Gaza from one arch terrorist and hand it over to the rule of another arch terrorist. (For those who have forgotten, Abu Mazen is the terrorist who planned the massacre of the Israeli athletes in Munich.). In order to quiet the protest, Olmert will pull out his media immunity wild card and destroy a number of settlements. Then Israel will join Egypt and supply weapons to the 'good' terrorists in Gaza so that they will be able to fight the 'bad' ones. Then the Kassams will fly once again -- even more of them . After that, Olmert will receive the Nobel Peace Prize and will go down in history as an illustrious leader. Eventually he will be elected to be president and he will give advice to the next Likud leader, who will attempt to actualize Yossi Beilin's  peace hallucinations.

Yes, this scenario is redundant. We have already lived through it more than once. But the main question is not if there will be a war. The real question is how we will react when it happens. We would be wise to establish an inquiry committee now -- not after the next defeat.

Should we let Olmert get away with it? How should the reserve soldiers who will be sent to die for Abu Mazen respond? Not by protesting the previous war, but by preparing for the upcoming war.

The only real solution to Israel's problems is authentic Jewish leadership. And establishing authentic Jewish leadership for Israel is in your hands. All that you have to do is to vote for it.

New Video - “The Path To The Final Solution”

This blog has been a long time coming.

The first rumblings began many months ago, when the proliferation of blatant antisemitism in comments at LiveLeak, YouTube and an assortment of blogs and forums began to open my eyes.

As a member of the Global Zionist Conspiracy™ (although somewhat behind in my union dues), I was already aware that Jew hatred had been with us for some time, and that it still lingered in the shadows. What I was unprepared for was it’s seemingly sudden reemergence into the light, and welcome acceptance into mainstream political and social discourse.

During the intervening months, this new awareness caused me some consternation… and I found myself going in search of this filth. You’d be amazed how easily one can locate vast resources of images, quotes and comments, videos, blogs and a variety of other propaganda blaming the Jews for everything up to, and including, the attacks of 9/11, AIDS, every global economic tremor and even weather patterns in the Middle East!

You’d be amazed, that is, if you had not already encountered this in your travels - and if you’ve been on the Internet for more than 15 minutes, you have.

In response to this, I have created a video presentation called “The Path To The Final Solution”.
If you were not already aware of this resurgence of antisemitism, I hope this video will raise your awareness, and I hope you will aid me by sending it to your friends, family, co-workers and anyone who might benefit from seeing it.*

Due to the 10 minute time limit imposed by YouTube, I had to remove a large volume of material from this video, and I was forced to gloss over several notable items.
Among these is the organized Jew hatred practiced by the states that comprise the United Nations.
From the Soviet backed resolution equating Zinoism with racism, to the U.N. acceptance of a terrorist group (the PLO) as Israel’s equal, and the United Nations’ more recent response to the war instigated by Hezbollah in Lebanon, the community of nations has repeatedly sought to undermine Israel’s security and sovereignty.

Another subject I had insuffient time to address is the sheer volume of Jew hatred that can be found in recent comments at sites like YouTube, LiveLeak, and even here at The Jawa Report.
You’ve likely already encountered TJR’s resident Joo haters, but I’d like to share some of the “good thoughts” that members of YouTube and Live Leak have for those of the Jewish persuasion.

They are below the fold… and they are just a small sampling, a few drops in an ocean of hate.

Because this is not only important to me personally, but because it represents such a grave and growing danger to Jews world-wide, I’ll ask again:

Please help me to disseminate this video.
Send it to your friends and family. Post it in your blogs or on your MySpace pages. Send it to media outlets or influential bloggers.
Just get it out there.

Thank you for your help with this.

If it would only help to let Jews see that they are going to become the victims of another Holocaust if they remain in the nations. I’m afraid, however, that we are living in a time such as the time of Noah where only he had an ear to hear that it was necessary to build an ark to save himself and his family.

Jews should realize that Israel’s God, who is also the God of the Christians, does what he said through his prophets he would do. First of all, he’ll sift the Jews from the nations where they had been scattered, after which, those nations will be destroyed:

‘Therefore do not fear, O My servant Jacob,’ says the LORD,
‘Nor be dismayed, O Israel;
For behold, I will save you from afar,
And your seed from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return, have rest and be quiet,
And no one shall make him afraid.
11 For I am with you,’ says the LORD, ‘to save you;
Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you,
Yet I will not make a complete end of you.
But I will correct you in justice,
And will not let you go altogether unpunished.’ Jer 30:10-11 NKJV

“For surely I will command,
And will sift the house of Israel among all nations,
As grain is sifted in a sieve;
Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.
10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’ Amos 9:9-10 NKJV

WinogKatif

David Wilder
hebron@hebron.org.il

February 01, 2008

I recall, over twenty years ago, during and after the first Lebanese War, hearing the Chief Rabbi of Hebron-Kiryat Arba, speak about the bloody conflict in the north. He exclaimed, time and time again, ‘who knows if the expulsion in the south didn’t cause the war in the north.’

Most people have forgotten by now, that shortly prior to the beginning of the first Lebanon War, Israel, then led by Menachem Begin and Ariel Sharon, destroyed Yamit, Ophira, and all other communities in the Sinai, liberated by Israel during the 1967 Six Day War.  All Jewish residents of these communities were brutally expelled from their homes, which were then destroyed by the Israeli government. The Camp David Accords were the predecessor of Oslo, The Hebron Accords, the annihilation of Gush Katif and two northern Shomron communities, and negotiations with our blood-thirsty enemy for the expulsion of multitudes of Jews from Judea, Samaria and extensive areas of Jerusalem, including Temple Mount.  Of course, the process doesn’t end here; it only concludes the negotiating process. Following implementation of such an agreement, (G-d Forbid,) the enemy would undoubtedly continue pushing for the completion of the first stage of their goal: the use of war-terror to capture all of Eretz Yisrael, bringing about the final solution: the destruction of a Jewish state in the Middle East.

Why only the ‘first stage of their goal?’ Clearly, the aim of Islam is not only the end of Israel; rather it is the Islamization of the entire western world and culture, including a takeover of Europe and North America. That seeds of that mission have already been planted; England, France and Scandinavia are being overrun by Moslems. According to recent studies, ‘Muhammad’ is expected to be the most popular boy’s name in England in 2008 [http://tinyurl.com/26w5u7].  (I highly recommend viewing the DVD documentary “Farewell Israel [http://tinyurl.com/35p3cr], for a fuller comprehension of this fact.)

So too, following the horrible destruction of Gush Katif, Israel found itself embroiled, not in one war, rather in at least four military campaigns. The first, coming directly on the heels of Gush Katif, was again, as twenty five years ago, from the north. Not too long afterwards, from the south. And let’s not forget Iran. That too is war; similar to the others, one-sided. The enemy has proclaimed its goal of exterminating a Jewish presence in Israel. Israel is still twiddling its thumbs.

However there is a big difference between what happened two and a half decades ago and today. Then, the war was on enemy ground. The second Lebanon War, as well as the continuing war from Gaza, is being fought within Eretz Yisrael. The rockets fired by Hizballah, blanketing the north, and the rockets being shot into southern Israeli cities and communities, have moved the war into Israel proper. Not only are soldiers in uniform casualties. Civilians are being targeted, terrorized, wounded and killed.

But in reality, this is nothing new. I mentioned a few sentences ago, that Israel is involved in four military campaigns; the fourth being waged from within Judea and Samaria, a war fought for years, primarily against Israeli civilians, which continues today. Not only Hizballah and Hamas are attacking Israel. Abu-Mazen’s ‘moderate’ Fatah terrorists have not forgotten how to kill and they are doing their best to do just that.

The Winograd Commission report, issued a few days ago, is a drop in the bucket. One of the most headlined conclusions from the report was the failure of the IDF leadership. The head of the pyramid was then Chief of Staff, General Dan Halutz. He was clearly unqualified for the job of ‘RamatKal,’ Chief of Staff. A former Israeli Air Force commander, Halutz may have been an excellent fighter pilot, but knowing how to fly a plane didn’t necessarily qualify him to take charge of all the IDF. Did the Winograd Commission examine HOW Halutz came to be army chief, WHY former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon fired Moshe Ya’alon a year early and brought in Halutz?  The answer to that is easy: Ya’alon wasn’t crazy about  abandoning Gush Katif. He probably would have done as ordered had he remained in the top job, but he wouldn’t have done so enthusiastically.  So, goodbye it was to Ya’alon and welcome it was to Dan Halutz, who promised to do the job with a smile on his face, getting the dirty work done quickly. That Halutz knew how to do; to expel Israelis from their homes, to trounce the Jewish foe, the opponent of peace; that he could accomplish with ease. But to crush an enemy, threatening to destroy the state, killing and kidnapping soldiers, shooting rockets into Israeli cities, that was too difficult a task for the former fighter pilot.

Winograd dealt with the unpreparedness of the army, an issue which didn’t begin during the Halutz tenure, rather years before. What lay behind this lack of readiness?

I recall, years ago, during the Rabin-Peres years, taking my children to Tank Hill, in (the settlement of) Ramat Eshkol in Jerusalem, where one of the bloodiest and most important battles of the Six Day war was fought. We wandered around the memorial, museum and then watched a movie about the miraculous war. When we left I remember commenting to my wife that the movie’s theme seemed to be one of apology for having fought, and having won the war. She agreed with me.

That is the heart of the problem. An army cannot be expected to be victorious if the soldiers and commanders are conditioned into believing that it is wrong to fight for your survival; that the land you are supposed to be defending really doesn’t belong to you; that many of your countrymen are really the enemy and the enemy is really your friend.

How much time and money did the Israeli government spend to brainwash tens and hundreds of thousands of officers and soldiers in preparation for the expulsion from Gush Katif? They psychologically rendered the best of our best brain dead. They destroyed their thought-processes. They turned them into robots with one programmed message: these people, this land, are evil. They are a hindrance to the continued existence of Israel. They must be destroyed for the rest of us to continue to exist.

And in they went – the Israeli storm troopers, uniformed in black, to ‘follow orders,’ to fulfill the mission they’d been programmed to complete. And so they did.

But then, a short time later, when the real enemy attacked, they had no idea what to do. Neither did the ‘leaders’ who had self-hypnotized themselves into believing that the Messiah had arrived; the days of peace were at hand; terror and war had come to an end, the end-of-days had arrived. Peace Now!

Nobody with eyes of truth in their head could be surprised at the results of the Second Lebanese war or the continued paralysis preventing Israel from ending the rocket attacks on Sderot. Our so-called leaders are the very antithesis of leadership. They are terminally ill, sick with a cancer of the soul, which has filtered into their brains and down into their bodies.  Surely Olmert must go, but not alone. Many of the others, in Kadima, the Likud and other political parties contracted this ‘I hate Eretz Yisrael-I despise ‘settlers’’ disease, which has eaten away their hearts and souls, leaving them empty shells, who may look just like everybody else, but are, in reality, golems, whose continued participation in Israeli political society is endangering the existence of the State of Israel.

True Jewish leadership can only come from people imbued with faith, true Jewish faith, with roots in Torah, with roots in Eretz Yisrael, with roots in G-d.

These are the authentic results of what should be called the WinogKatif Commission. Let’s hope the Israeli people wake up fast and implement these conclusions ASAP, saving not only themselves, but generations of Jews in Israel for years to come.

unnecessaryBut what will you do about American pressure? What will you do when they stop allocating funds to Israel? What will you do when they send NATO bombers like they did in Bosnia? What will you do about the whole world? What will you do?

Every time that an attempt is made to establish an alternative to the conditioned Israeli thought pattern, every time that somebody suggests an approach that veers from the accepted leftist track, the decisive ammunition is pulled out of the arsenal of claims: "The Americans won't let us."
After that claim, it is no longer possible to debate. The underlying assumption is that we are small and completely dependant on the American superpower and cannot implement any policies not approved by our patrons.

That is the way it seems. There is no comparison between the military and economic strength of the rings of enemies that surround Israel -- supported by the U.S. -- and our own capabilities.

Let us analyze the economic and military aspects of this theory.

The basic claim is that without American aid, Israel will not be able to exist. But if we check the numbers and history of American aid, we receive a completely different picture.

American aid, in its various forms, currently amounts to about 3.5 percent (yes, only 3.5 percent!) of Israel's annual budget. About half of that aid is military. Parallel to the military aid to Israel, the U.S. is supplying modern weapons to Israel's largest and most threatening potential enemy -- the Egyptian army. The Egyptian army has no enemies on its borders -- except for Israel. Sudan and Libya do not endanger Egypt in any way, and it is clear that the powerful army that Egypt is building is directed only against Israel.

There is no doubt that it would be worth Israel's while to forgo U.S. military "aid" if the United States would  simultaneously halt its arms shipments to the Egyptians. Everybody would gain, except for the American weapons industry. The U.S. would save billions of dollars that it is currently pouring into both sides and war between Israel and Egypt would be postponed.

There is a famous saying that the gun that appears in the first act, will shoot in the third act. In a cynical move to benefit its armaments industry and to create a situation in which both sides are dependant on American weapons, the U.S. has introduced millions of sophisticated guns in the first act. It is reasonable to assume that these guns will shoot as early as the second act. In this way, America promotes the next military conflict between Egypt and Israel, in the guise of military aid. ***Since this article was written over six years ago, Egypt has found a more efficient way to fight Israel. It simply sends vast amounts of missiles and explosives to the Hamas in Gaza. Syria supplies the Hizbollah with missiles on our northern border, Egypt supplies the Hamas with missiles on our southern border, and Israel's government supplies its citizens with a pamphlet with instructions on how to respond to an all-out missile attack.***

That being the case, it is clear that the entire entity called "American aid" can be reduced to that part designated as civilian aid. The framework of this article does not allow us to prove that even the civilian aid is nothing but fiction. But clearly, the State of Israel, with the GNP of a modern country, can easily do without aid that amounts to just one and one half percent of its budget -- aid for which Israel essentially surrenders its independence.

It is no less interesting to check the history of American aid to Israel:
Israel was not always an economic and military superpower in the Middle East. From the time that the State was established until the Six Day War, Israel's economy was in a precarious state. Israel's military situation was no better. The IDF was spread thin over impossible borders. America had declared an embargo on weapons shipments to the Middle East. All the Arab armies in that era were supplied exclusively with Soviet arms, so that the American embargo was actually a U.S. death sentence for Israel. It seemed that Israel's days were numbered. The sad joke in that era was that the last Israeli to leave the country should please turn off the lights. In those difficult days Israel did not get even one bullet or one cent in aid from the Americans.

When did the American "aid" begin to pour into Israel? After Israel's "aggression" in 1967, when it conquered the Sinai, Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and after its post-war economy began to boom. Then, when it was clear that Israel was stronger than its neighbors, the American "aid" began to flow.

It's strange, isn't it? America always pressures Israel to surrender its settlements to the enemy and to abandon the parts of the Land of Israel that it conquered. Why did it begin to send us "aid" when Israel took action completely opposed to U.S. policy?

The question becomes even keener when we continue to examine the graph of American aid over Israel's history. It turn out that the aid -- that was initiated, as stated above, after the Six Day War -- steadily increased until it peaked in the eighties. Then, at a very specific point in time, the level of aid began to decline until the point that we have reached today -- half the aid that Israel received when the allocations peaked. And what is that specific point in time? The Camp David Accords, when Israel destroyed its settlements in the Sinai and surrendered the entire peninsula to Egypt.

The question rises again, this time from the opposite angle: When Menachem Begin caved in and gave Jimmy Carter all that he demanded, Israel should have become America's favorite son. It could certainly have expected the aid that it had received up till then to continue at the same level. But once again, reality worked in just the opposite direction.

Clearly, then, American aid is not aid at all. It is a cynical strategic investment in a patently American interest. America had no economic or strategic interest in investing in a weak, pre-Six Day War Israel -- just as it had no economic or strategic interest in investing even one American bomb on the railroads that carried the Jews to Auschwitz.

In contrast, as soon as Israel became a regional power, it was in America's interest to invest in it. In the third stage, when Israel began to divest itself of its Six Day War achievements and to retreat to the pre-1967 border with Egypt, America transferred its economic and military support to the Arabs.
Why are these simple, history-proven facts ignored by the Israelis? I have often debated the subject of American aid with Israeli academicians, among them economic experts. The facts stated in this article are completely unknown to them. Why do Israelis insist on developing a sense of imaginary dependence on the U.S. and Europe, specifically at the point that Israel is both economically and militarily vigorous?

The answer to that question is not at all connected to Israel's military or economic capabilities. It is on a totally different plane.

Beware the Enlightened Octopus

Manhigut Yehudit
Weekly Update 11 Tevet, 5768 (Dec. 20, 2007) Issue: 6812
octopusIsrael's enlightened dictatorship is like an octopus, winding its tentacles around every display of Jewish values. One of this week's most obvious victims of the enlightened octopus is the Jewish family.

As a dictatorship gains strength, it will necessarily fight against the traditional family structure -- and yes, against the Jews. The basic loyalty that exists in the family unit is a thorn in the side of the despot who wants to control all loyalty and to be the one and only authority. Recent history shows that both the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany attempted to decimate the family unit. (The story of the legendary 13 year old Communist, Pavlik Morozov, who informed on his father to the Soviet authorities and became a national icon, is a chilling example of how a dictatorship replaces natural family loyalty with loyalty to the ruling despot).

A genuine dictatorship will eventually also conclude that the Jews must be destroyed. For as long as there is one Jew left in the world, there is still someone who will bear witness to the true Controller of the world, the Holy One, Blessed Be He. The genuine dictator will do his utmost to get rid of the witnesses. Hitler, may his name be blotted out, was more successful than other dictators, but he was not the only one who tried. It was only by Heavenly mercy that Stalin died just before his plan to destroy the millions of Jews in the Soviet empire was activated.

Today, it is not politically correct to destroy nations or families -- at least not overtly. But the forces that seek to position man above G-d are alive and well. They do not kill; they speak of peace, the welfare of children and human rights. They do not destroy the family unit; they expand the concept. The whole world is one big family. They are not destroying the Jewish nation; they are improving it and broadening its horizons. Now the Jewish nation is "Israeli". Even Azmi Basharah can join and even French President Sarkozy can make aliyah as a Jew. Today, the enlightened octopus is sophisticated. All it needs to do is to blur distinctions and merge everything together into one bewildered ball of confusion.

PS. This article complements an article titled, The "Rabin legacy" and the Oslo Process turned Israel into a DICTATORSHIP at the Zionsake Multiply Blog.

Let Confusion Reign

confusionIn Israel, the enlightened octopus is busier than ever, promoting the country's collapse into confusion. Just this week, Welfare Minister Yitzchak Herzog initiated a law that would allow same-gender "couples" to adopt children who are not their biological offspring. As the Ha'aretz newspaper reported this Sunday, "This is a real breakthrough in the state's approach toward homosexual adoption rights, coming on the heels of the proceedings in the Supreme Court advancing equality between same gender and heterosexual families." (Ha'aretz newspaper, 7 Tevet, 5768).

This is not a personal project of the Welfare Minister. Herzog is just one of the tentacles of the enlightened octopus that controls the state of the Jews. The Gay Parade stirred up a storm of public protest. But now, before our very eyes, a much more serious phenomenon is taking shape. This time, we are not dealing with a group of social misfits who trample their surroundings and then disappear. This time we are talking about the Supreme Court obligating the state (through the more than willing Welfare Ministry) to allow orphaned children to be adopted by same gender "couples."

Not surprisingly, the public has remained apathetic. As usual, we prefer to bury our heads in the sand until the harsh reality hits us over the head. We can only imagine how the belief based public would react if the state would authorize adoption of Jewish children by the church. This adoption plan is a crime of the same proportions. It is not a question of the "rights" of deviants to lead their private lives as they wish. It is not even a question of their "right" to demonstrate their deviance in public. We are talking about forcing Israeli society to recognize their deviance as normative. The price will be paid by the poor orphans who are adopted into these "normative families."

Bunker-Building at the Prime Minister's Residence

(IsraelNN.com) Although Sderot residents have yet to see anti-Kassam fortifications on the roofs of their homes, the Prime Minister's official residence in Jerusalem will be well-protected against any type of attack. Workers are busily digging at the residence, strengthening walls, installing air purification filters and other equipment for a bunker that can withstand a nuclear or chemical attack, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Sderot kassam attack
Sderot kassam attack
Last week Housing Minister Ze'ev Boim commented that Defense Minister Ehud Barak's promise to allocate $80 million to fortify homes in the shell-battered town of Sderot might change Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's oft-stated stance that Israel must not "fortify itself to death." Barak was not specific about which buildings would be fortified, when or by whom, however.

Russian-Israeli businessman Arcadi Gaydamak pledged fortification of some 600 homes in the Kassam-stricken community of Sderot after intensified shelling by Palestinian Authority terrorists in northern Gaza last week. The cost of the project will be approximately NIS 90 million ($23 million). The tycoon has already fortified 40 shelters in the town.

Israel will sooner or later be forced to deal with the hostile Muslim enemy inside and around her territory. Prophetically it will probably start with the Isaiah 17 war in which Damascus will be destroyed and Aroer (Jordan) will be left without people. The nations and the Moslems will rage and turn against their Jews and Christian and the only place they will have to run to will be Israel. Holy Land Camping aims to settle them in recaptured land by means of campsites.

Create physical/spiritual highways, pathways, escape routes from the nations to Jerusalem for immigrants and refugees, with tabernacles at starting points and along the way. List your Israel "friendly" site at Highways to Jlm.

The tabernacles (tents, buildings, kiosks, storerooms, etc.) can also be used for teaching, ministering, hummanitarian aid, etc. Here is an example in what Jews want to do in east Europe:

Teaching Tents Against Anti-Semitism

(IsraelNN.com) Jewish activists in Paris, Warsaw, and Kiev have put up tents in order to teach others about Jewish history, religion, and culture. The activists hope to combat anti-Semitism by “opening European Jewish communities.”

Activists expressed satisfaction with the levels of participation in events held at the tents, saying that the communities seemed very interested in hearing about Jewish life. In Warsaw, police came to the tent to hear about an increase in anti-Semitic graffiti and vandalism in Poland.

Arab Students' Poor Grades Drag Israel Down to Bottom Third
by Hillel Fendel

Israel's educational system has suffered two blows over the past two days - poor showings on its own Meitzav achievement tests, and a below-average international placement in the PIRLS reading literacy tests.  However, both results are very much affected by the low scores of the Arab sector.

For instance, though Israel finished in 31st place out of 45 countries in the PIRLS (Progress in International Reading Literacy Study) tests, the Jewish sector's scores placed it in the equivalent of 11th place, while the Israeli-Arabs alone would have finished in 40th.

In Israel's national achievement tests, the Meitzav tests, the results are not good - but here, too, the low Arab sector scores brought them down even furthe
